About the Horses

Most of the horses for sale at BRF are Thoroughbreds, but sometimes warmbloods or other breeds are available.  Client's horses for sale and friends' horses that are not necessarily located in Eugene are also occasionally listed. 

Blue Rider Farm specializes in bringing young horses along, and selling them to buyers looking for their next partner.  Past clients have ranged from the competitive rider looking for the next upper level prospect, to the adult amatuer wanting to get back into riding after years off, to the young rider with a bright future ahead.  Horses have been sold to Eventers, A circuit hunter barns, pony clubbers, Jumpers, as riding and trail horses, and even western pleasure. 

Horses for sale at BRF have been selected formost for their tempermant, and their training starts with the basics and continues through competition.  Most horses at BRF are ridden regulary by the trainer, Devin Robel, but are also ridden by her working student and other amateurs under supervision, so the horses aren't only used to "the professional ride".  Exposure of BRF horses can include some or all of the following activities; frequent trail rides, beach rides, lessons outside BRF facility, clinics with top trainers, schooling cross country, indoor and outdoor rides, ground manner education, and regular hauling.
