Breeding Program
BRF will be taking a break from breeding for the time being.Storm Watch was born in May 2010 to Gretchen, a TB mare, and to Brandenburg's Windstar, father of Zephyros, Blue Rider Farm's Irish Sporthorse. Gretchen has produced several lovely Irish sporthorses successfully competing in the Jumpers. Little Storm Watch is a flashy dark bay with chrome, and already has tons of suspension and lovely movement. He is such a nice colt, Devin will be keeping him for herself as an upper level eventing prospect.
Zephyros, BRF's 3yr old Irish Sport Horse out of Captain's Surprise and Brandenburg's Windstar, is 16 hands at 3 yrs old, and likely to mature to 16.2. Sweet, friendly, and level headed. Promises to be one talented jumper with the best kind of brain. Zephyr is going under saddle, walk/trot/canter, and trail riding through rivers, over bridges, leading and following. He attended his first big event at Caber Farms in the fall of 2011, and was a very well behaved spectator, hacking around the stabling area and grounds like a pro. His stall manners were also excellent.
Oktoberfest, born March 2010. Captain's Surprise was bred to Yeager GF, an RPSI (German Warmblood). Outgoing and bold like her brother Zephyr, she received high marks as a Silver Premium foal at the RPSI inspection, and in November went to her new home in Colorado.
Destined to be an eye catcher, "Stormy" takes a look around.

Zephyros, 3 yr old Irish Sport Gelding, has a puppy dog personality with great manners, and free jumps with fantastic form.
Congrats to Maureen Dunn, on her purchase of Oktoberfest!
Oktoberfest looks her best in front of the German judge.
Dam of both Zephyr and Oktoberfest, Captain's Surprise, is a Kentucky bred Thoroughbred with an impressive 44 starts at the track. She is out of Captain Bodgit, who has his own impressive record. She was approved for the RPSI main mare book in 2010.
Zephyr's and Storm Watch's sire is Brandenburg's Windstar, Olympic eventer Phyllis Dawson's Irish Sport Horse. Many of his get are great amateur eventers, and some are competing at the top levels, including Arthur, 4 star horse ridden by Allison Springer. Windstar is no longer breeding outside of his farm, and his foals are difficult to find. Storm Watch and Zephyr may be available to the right home.
