SOLD- Congratulations to Dominique, who will be continuing Cayman's training in Illinois. She writes "Yes, he does seem to be settling in quite nicely.  He seems to have such a good head on him. I really really like him. In fact, I think he's fantastic!! He's Cindy's favorite horse too (other than her own, of course). A huge tarp flew off our shavings pile, the other day, 20 feet from him -- he was outside, Cindy was on him -- and he did nothing. We were amazed.   Thanks so much for helping us out with this great horse."

Island Drifter, "Cayman" 5 year old dark brown 16.1+ TB gelding. Simple, pleasant, and easy to train. Super quiet temperament. Not spooky or fidgety, a pleasure to work with. Going in a dressage frame, lovely movement with natural rhythm and tempo, huge quiet canter strides, soft, lofty trot, great overreach in the walk. My working student who has been jumping for only three months is coursing him at 2'6"; a rider with more experience will be jumping bigger in no time. Already jumping oxers, combinations, and liverpools. He will fix a distance, approaches and leaves the fences quietly, and has nice form over fences both in front and behind without jumping the rider out of the tack. Trail ridden over bridges, water, and logs, pleasant to ride either leading or following. This is a truly nice horse with temperament, talent, movement, and looks, quiet enough for the amateur, but with enough scope for an upper level prospect. Videos available on Youtube. http://www.youtube.com/user/devinrobel.

Sold!  Congrats to Haley Abbett on her future upper level event horse, Good Storm, "Geo", who will be in training with Danielle Caslett.  Absolutely STUNNING coming 3yr old 15.1+ rose gray TB gelding. Boyd Martin, the 3rd highest ranked american eventer, saw video of Geo and felt he was a worthy prospect for an Advanced rider. String test indicates his mature height at 16.1 hands. Back and breezed at the track, but too slow, so unraced. Totally sound, great feet, great conformation, fantastic mover, beautiful to look at. Tons of suspension and reach in the trot, uphill, balanced canter. Really nice form over fences, and a "never say no" attitude. Started walk/trot/canter, super nice gaits to sit on.  Learning to accept a light contact.  Super personality and brain. Not spooky. Curious, friendly, brave and willing. A total pleasure to be around. Loads, hauls, bathes, ties. Still very green and babyish, so needs a trainer or skilled amateur. This guy is fancy enough for the hunter or dressage ring. Maternal grandsire Napur was a Grand Prix show jumper ridden by Hap Hanson. Video under saddle, as well as free lunging and free jumping available on you tube. http://www.youtube.com/user/devinrobel.

Message for Michael, "Micha" SOLD! Congratulations to Tally, who purchased Micha for the purpose of Eventing in the Pacific Northwest. We will be looking forward to seeing this talented youngster in the years to come. 4 yr old 16.2 hd bay TB gelding. Very handsome, three big white socks, star and snip. Short coupled, uphill, big bodied, warmblood build. Rhythmic mover. Going in a frame, consistent in the bridle, nice contact that isn't too light or too heavy. Very quiet to ride, a little on the lazy side, not hot, and good for the amateur. Coursing small fences, very honest, keeps his stride, canters to and away in the same rhythm. Recently vetted with clean flexions. Price will increase with training, now is your chance to get a "wow" horse for a reasonable price! Photos available on my website, see below. Video clips available on you tube, search for WestWoodStables.

SOLD- Congrats to Rocksi!  Del Mar Danger, "Ranger" 4 yr old 15.2 hd bay TB gelding, should finish at 15.3. Sweet guy, and WHAT a nice brain and personality! Easy and quiet under saddle, not spooky or hot, learning contact in the bridle, quietly jumps small fences. Cute mover, and a good length of stride in the canter.  Nothing phases him; crossties, loading, hauling, separated from other horses, bathing, clipping, no vices. Great on the trail leading or following, puddles, bridges, logs. Would be great for low level dressage or trail, Old race injury in his foot may limit his jumping ability, but was just examined by a vet, and passed a soundness exam and all his flextion tests.  UTD on shots/worming/floating/shoes.

SOLD  Oktoberfest: 7 month old RPSI filly. Oktoberfest was born March 29th, and is a huge girl! Outgoing and bold like her brother, Zephyr, and dark buckskin like her father. In September she went through RPSI inspection, and received high marks as a Silver Premium foal. Her dam, TB Captain's Surprise, was bred to Yeager GF, an RPSI (German Warmblood) located in Gig Harbor, Washington.  Yeager has the scope, size, and movement that has proven to cross well and produce an exceptional sporthorse. Congratulations to Maureen Dunn in Colorado!  She is already in love with Tova, and says "She is absolutely everything I dreamed of and more.  What a sweetheart, too!"  Tova will be used for dressage, and eventually have lovely foals of her own.

SOLD  Captain's Surprise (Cypress): 10 yr 15.3 hd Kentucky bred mare. Approved into the Main Mare book 1 for RPSI (Rhineland-Pfalz-Saar, German Warmblood). Cypress raced 44 times and retired sound.  She has great bone, lots of action in the trot, and balanced, correct conformation. Foaled two TB's (who are racing in CA), and two warmbloods. Very good mom, quiet, sweet to her babies, isn't overprotective or aggressive towards people, has no vices, eats well, foals out easily, hauls, and bathes. Throws short backed, uphill babies with great shoulders, big butts, nice heads, sweet temperments and outgoing, confident personalities. For video of RPSI inspection to see her movement and easy temperment, go to my youtube channel listed below.   For more photos of her babies, click the Breeding Program link on the left. $1500.00 Congratulations to Rebecca Bass!  Cypress will be bred to Grindstone in 2011, and her foal will be destined for the great things at the race track.

Outlandish, Sold- Imported from England, bred by the Queen. 5 yr old 16.1+ dark bay TB gelding. Elegant, uphill build, very cute face. This is one truly nice horse that has all the pieces to make you a lifetime partner. Willing and trainable attitude, and very nice manners. He has an amazing walk, lovely trot, and super slow, smooth truly fantastic canter. Currently goes in a frame in contact, moves laterally off the aids, and will do flying changes. He has been started over fences, jumped up to 2'6" with plenty of scope for more, has nice form over fences, and does not rush or land and bolt. Schooled xcountry over ditches, banks up and down, water, and series of fences.  Really fun and willing outside.  He is also trail ridden regularly, leading, following, over bridges, through water, w/t/c all with good behavior. He was too slow at the track and has no injuries or vices. Trailers, ties, clips, loads, stands for the farrier. Would be a wonderful partner in eventing, dressage, equitation, or hunter/jumpers. Because he is still green, he would be suitable for an amateur in training, or a professional looking for a prospect. Price will continue to increase with more training and experience.
